Lawrence, affectionately known as Flo, is probably one of the best cricketers to hail from the beautiful Mitta valley. He is a reliable opening bowler and a punishing middle order batsmen. Flo started his cricketing career in the 1984-85 season with Eskdale. He was very quickly recognised as a cricketer with talent. He has managed to play with a number of Albury & Border Clubs, as well as his beloved Eskdale. The Albury & Border clubs are Wodonga, SS&A, St Pats and Tallangatta.

His highlights are:

  • 335 against Bandiana in a Grand Final
  • 146 against Bandiana
  • 137 against Kiewa
  • 128 against Belvoir
  • 111 against New City
  • 113 and 8/45 against St Patrick’s
  • 6/15 against St Patrick’s
  • 6/29 against Postal United
  • 5/15 against St Patrick’s (double Hatrick – only player in ABCA to achieve this)
  • 5 Hatricks
  • 10 times Wodonga & District Cricketer of the Year
  • 7 times Wodonga & District Bowler of the Year
  • 6 times Wodonga & District Batsmen of the Year
  • 3 times Albury & Border Cricket Association Cricketer of the Year
  • Victorian Country Cricket League Representative

Flo retired in 2007, with over 30 centuries and 550 wickets. He was one of the leading forces in resurrecting the Eskdale Cricket Club in 2007-08.
