Dave started his career as an 11-year-old in the 1969-70 season for the Kiewa Cricket Club, as there were no other grades available for him to play in. He has been an integral part of cricket in the area for the last 44 years and is still coaching Kiewa Cricket Club which he has done so for the last 10 years.

Dave moved to Lavington Cricket Club in the 1980-81 season and played until the 1995-96 season. In that period, he took a record 522 First Grade wickets. He won the Albury & Border Cricket Association bowling award on 10 occasions and was the Albury & Border Cricket Association “Cricketer of the Year” twice.

  • 9/29 against Wodonga
  • 8/40 against City Colts
  • 6/61 against City Colts in a Grand Final
  • 6/41 against North Albury in a Grand Final
  • 5/21 and 4/29 against SS&A in a Grand Final
  • 7/18 against City Colts in a Grand Final
  • 6/15 against Postal United in a Grand Final

David was a member of the Albury & Border Cricket Association side which won the Provincial Grade competition at Country Week on the MCG. Since leaving Lavington in 1996, David has played or coached at Rand Cricket Club, West Wodonga Cricket Club and Kiewa Cricket Club (10 Years) and still going strong
